Cercle Français

One of Greely High School’s many clubs is the French club. The “Cercle Français” is a club that is mostly run by Madame MacDonald.

Junior Bella Colavope said “French Club is fun. We do some pretty cool things which are fun when you’re interested in France and French culture.”

French club members pose for a picture.

Students who participate in French club range from freshmen to seniors and is open to anyone who wants to join or simply to stop by.

As of now, the French club is discussing things to do before holiday break. A few things they have discussed are <un fete de Noel> also known as a Christmas party, and a couple movies or TV shows to watch during their meetings after school.

All of the ideas for club meetings/activities are student generated. They have done some pretty amazing things including crèpe sales to raise money for a Haitian orphanage and Konbit Santé (volunteer work to raise money for Haitian healthcare), and they are hosting an African drummer, Sayon Camara, in the GCA.

Mm. MacDonald and club members hope to grow their club throughout the year. To join the French club, watch out for advertisements and posters during the week to see when their next meeting is, and stop in!
